Generic Type: Natural Resin Emulsion

It can be applied by spray, brush or roller to metal, steel and plaster. It is compatible with most existing coatings and tightly adhearing rust

Features Include:

• Quick drying - overcoat 30 - 60 minutes
• Excellent flexibility - will never harden
• Ultra violet and weather resistant proof.- been tested for 70,000 hours
• Excellent abrasion resistance
• Rust prevention
• Colour fastness
• Voc contents (Volatile Organic) 0.61 LBS/Gallon exceeding the USA maximum   Federal Standard by 90%.
• Zero flame spread

Recommended Use:

Exterior walls, interior walls, structural steel, piping, tank frames, railcars, corrugated iron, off-shore oil and gas stations, boats, wood, asbestos, glass, copper, glass fibre and aluminum

Excellent Resistance To:

Acids, alkalies, water, salt solutions and solvents

Temperature Resistance:

Minus 50c - 210°c at 110 c
Loss of gloss is observed and discolouration takes place, without loss of film integrity

Application:

Suitably prepared concrete, metal and any surface as recommended

Compatible Coatings:

To most coatings, a test patch is recommended before use. Contact your Self-Coat Dealer for specific information

Specification Data:

Volatile Organic Content as supplied - 17 Gms/Litre

Recommended dry film thickness per coat:

Steel: Dft to micrometer WFT 140 - micrometer
Concrete: DFT 60 micrometer WFT 120
Maximum DFT 80 WFT 160

Application:

By brush, roller spray (conventional or airless)
Stir contents thoroughly prior to application
Clean equipment with water prior to touch dry state

Surface Preparation:

Previously painted surfaces must be cleaned by removing grease, fat, oil, loose paint and friable dirt and paint. Enamel or solvent borne paint surfaces should be sanded to a mat finish, using Self-Bind and sandpaper. Chalked PVA and distemper
surfaces to be hosed down with water, and then be sealed with Self-Bind as soon as the tear drops has disappeared. All surfaces must be prepared by using Metal Guard, or Self-Bind Primers prior to all applications.

Drying Time:

At 2CPc for 25 micrometer coating and RH < 75%

Touch dry - 20 - 30 minutes
Over Coat - 30 - 90 minutes
Normal Service - 16 hours

Theoretical Spreading Rate:

12M / Litre at 25 micrometers DFT
The theoretical spreading rate stated here is for a DFT of 25 micrometers on a smooth surface for reasons of convenience and comparison.
The practical spreading rate must be calculated by the user
